Who Gives and Why?
For over 100 years, LDBC has been providing an enriching summer camp experience to boys who otherwise might not have one, and we have done this entirely through private support.
It is through the generosity of people who see the value of LDBC’s mission and who have seen our success that this has been possible.
Boys who have attended LDBC have gone to great success in their academic, professional, and personal lives. They have excelled in virtually all fields, often overcoming meager beginnings or tremendous hardships.
Regardless of where they started and where they wound up, they shared one common trait. They all credit LDBC with being a positive force in their lives. For many, even the single most life-altering experience in their young lives.
Each year donations come from former campers, their families, former staff members, friends, and others who have only one thing in common: they have seen how boys benefit from the LDBC experience, and they want to see that tradition continue for future generations.
Donations are welcome from any source and in any amount. LDBC receives gifts from $10 to thousands of dollars and all are welcome and appreciated. In addition, there are long term giving opportunities available (see link to The Emblem Society).
LDBC receives absolutely no government support and is a registered 501(c) 3 organization. All gifts to LDBC are tax deductible.
Please make the LDBC experience available to others.
