Alumni
LDBC is blessed with an active and committed alumni association, Lake Delaware Alumni Association, which is made up of those who attended and graduated from Camp. LDAA consists of several hundred active members who provide invaluable support to LDBC, including assisting with the overall operations of the camp, hosting annual work weekends to make improvements to the camp buildings and facilities and sponsoring social events during the off season, as well as the annual BBQ picnic on Grads Weekend. Perhaps most importantly, LDAA provides former campers with a life long connection to LDBC and an opportunity to give back to the camp that had such an impact on them.
We encourage all parents and grads to attend the annual Work Weekends which are held in June. After a full day’s work, which can range from painting to carpentry to landscaping work, we relax and share camaraderie around a camp fire. All meals are provided for by LDAA and lodging is on site at Camp.
The main social event of each year is the BBQ picnic hosted by LDAA on Grads Weekend. That is a three day weekend, in late July and it begins with a Golf Outing on Friday, followed by the picnic on Saturday at Ancrum near Camp which routinely attracts over 100 camp graduates. Graduates attend the LDAA annual meeting on Sunday and participate in camp activities throughout the weekend.
